Raven Geary (she/they) is an investigative journalist, visual storyteller, and something of a chief editor at Unraveled. Before she co-founded Unraveled, her freelance reporting on state violence and the far right spanned a variety of publications from radical media to broadcast news.

Steve Held (he/him) is an investigative journalist and editor. Before co-founding Unraveled, he uncovered corruption in local politics and other scoops for The People’s Fabric. He oversees data reporting and FOIA projects at Unraveled.

Dave Byrnes (he/him) is a journalist covering courts, policing and popular movements in his hometown of Chicago.

Dominic Guanzon (he/him) is a freelance journalist covering Chicagoland’s people power movements. His documentary photography chronicles the local jazz music scene.

Zoë Takaki (she/her) is a Chicago-based journalist reporting on local politics, community, and injustice.

Andres Alejandro Chavez (he/him) is a Venezuelan artist and photojournalist covering Chicago’s marginalized communities.
